Under the guidance of FIFA and AIFF, the MFA setup a new programme to promote Licence Coaching Education. Football Development in Mizoram shows a tremendous growth from the past 4 years. However, the unavailability of proper football system slow down the growth and this might have huge impact in the long run. For further development, the MFA started restructuring the football system in Mizoram. This includes promotion of AFC licence course under Coaches Development programme, Referee Development programme, Youth Development programme and Scouting System.
The Coaches Development programme started since 2012. Since inception till May 2016, the MFA conducted 4 refreshers courses and 5 AFC license courses. To run a better and more effective Coach Education programme, the MFA tie up with NEIDA, a company owned by Tata Trust for the season 2016-17. NEIDA provide funds for promoting the education for one season
